Here Are The Best Electric Motorcycle Companies And Products Of 2018

Introduction

Electric motorcycles are the future. No, really: in just a few years, they’ve gone from novelties to legitimate competition for gas-powered bikes. And with more and more companies throwing money into research and development, we expect them to get even better very soon. Here are some of our favorites so far:

Zero Motorcycles

Zero Motorcycles is a US-based electric motorcycle company that designs and manufactures high-performance electric motorcycles. It was founded in 2006 by Neal Saiki, who also owns the California-based electronics company Zongshen Power Motor Co., Ltd. The company’s headquarters is located in Scotts Valley, California; however it has offices around the world including China and Taiwan where most of its products are manufactured.

Zero has several models available for purchase including:

  • Zero S (street)
  • Zero DS (dual sport)
  • Zero FX (cruiser)

Harley Davidson

Harley-Davidson is the first major motorcycle manufacturer to start making electric motorcycles. This company has been around for over 100 years, and they are a well-respected brand. They have a wide range of electric motorcycles available in three different models: Streetfighter, SuperLow and LiveWire.

The Streetfighter has a top speed of 85 mph with a range of 50 miles per charge (with a lead acid battery). It costs $29,999 USD or about $32k CAD at today’s exchange rates. The SuperLow is similar but has an extended range battery that gives it 60 miles per charge instead; it costs $33k CAD/$36k USD plus taxes/shipping fees if applicable depending on where you live in Canada or America respectively! Finally there’s LiveWire – which comes with 100 miles per hour capability along with two extra batteries so riders can go farther without having to stop somewhere else along their journey!

Brammo

Brammo is an electric motorcycle company based in Ashland, Oregon. They were founded in 2007 and their first bike was the Brammo Enertia. Today they make two models of electric motorcycles: The Empulse TT and the Empulse R. The latter is more powerful than its predecessor with up to 125 horsepower, but it costs twice as much at $19K (compared to $11K for the TT).

Brammo also makes electric bikes under their Brammo Electric division called “Lightning” which can be used for commuting or long distance travel on paved roads where there are no hills involved whatsoever!

Energica Ego

The Energica Ego is an electric motorcycle that can reach speeds of 150 mph. It’s made in Italy, has a top speed of 150 mph, and uses a motor made by Harley Davidson. The batteries are made by Panasonic.

KTM Freeride E-XC

The KTM Freeride E-XC is a great bike for beginners and experienced riders alike. It’s also a great option for off-road riding, but it can also be used on the road as well. This electric motorcycle has a top speed of 60 mph and comes with plenty of accessories, including an LED headlight and taillight, fenders, rear rack and more. The battery has a range of up to 80 miles per charge (depending on how you ride).

The only downside is that the KTM Freeride E-XC costs around $8,000–a lot more than most other electric motorcycles! However if you’re looking for something that’s fast enough to keep up with traffic while still being able to go off road when needed then this might be worth considering as an investment into your future transportation needs

There are a lot of great electric motorcycles out there.

There are many electric motorcycles out there, and it can be hard to find the one that’s right for you. You might have heard about some of the most popular models, but do you know what makes them so great?

Some of these bikes can cost up to $30K! They’re great investments if you want a long-lasting vehicle that will last years (or even decades) without needing repairs or replacement parts. Others are more affordable options for those who don’t want to spend too much money on their first motorcycle–but still want something reliable enough to get them from place to place safely. And then there are those in between: high-quality machines with prices somewhere between these two extremes–they’re not cheap enough that anyone could afford them but they aren’t so expensive either!
